Additionally, healthcare facilities are advised to ensure the proper functioning of oxygen plants and ventilators, reviewing infection control protocols to prevent the spread of infections.
The Health Ministry recommends implementing “Operational Guidelines for Revised Surveillance Strategy in the context of COVID-19,” providing a framework for integrated surveillance of respiratory pathogens, including influenza-like illness (ILI) and severe acute respiratory illness (SARI).
Monitoring ILI-SARI trends, especially among children and adolescents, is emphasized, requiring timely data uploading to the Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme (IDSP) portal.
